I feel a little silly admitting that I am an uncreative person, but truth be told that is who I am.  That may sound a little judgmental on my part, but let me tell you a little story of something that happened to me recently and you will see why I made that statement.

Recently, my boss came to me and told me that I had to take a vacation.  According to their records, I had not gone on one for over three years and that wasn’t acceptable.  I guess I never really thought about it since I love my job, and work is about the most exciting thing in my life.  I asked if I could pass on the holiday, but I was given a resounding no.

So I went down to the local travel agent to see  what was cheap, and I found myself on a flight to Hawaii.  Now, I had never been there in my life, so you would think that there would be plenty of things to do, right?

Well, leave it to me to have no idea as to what coast activities I could participate in – all I could see was the single beach in front of my hotel.  So, I picked up a beach guide to help me find some things to do.

Thanks to the book I bought, at least I could say I did some things while on vacation.  It is pretty sad that I couldn’t figure things out on my own.
