Wedding Gift Ideas

When my husband and I got married, we got a variety of different wedding gifts. We didn’t set up a registry because we didn’t want to tell people what to get us — we wanted the gifts to be special and thoughtful. Nevertheless, we had some favorites. Here were our 3 favorite types of gifts to give you some weddng gift ideas.
- Money and gift cards. Any money we got went promptly into paying for the wedding and the honeymoon — we didn’t want to start our marriage off by being in debt, like so many newlyweds do. We also got a few gift cards, which were nice because they were all for stores such as Bed Bath & Beyond and Pottery Barn — places where we could get practical things our home was lacking.
- Richly scented candles. Scented jar candles and aromatherapy candles are just one of those things that almost everyone loves, but never buys for themselves. Candles and beautiful candleholders make great wedding gifts.
- Picture frames. We received some really lovely wedding picture frames from friends, family, and coworkers. There is always a need for these after a wedding because there will be lots of wedding pictures that the bride and groom want to frame.
Finding thoughtful wedding gifts shouldn’t be difficult if you think about what you would want in that position. I hope this has given you some great wedding gift ideas!
