One of the most frustrating things about being good at your job is that you are inevitably going to be asked to teach others how to do the job. This is particularly true in office settings where turnover rates might be high and new people regularly need to be trained. The boss isn’t going to want to train those people and so may ask you to show so-and-so how to do things around the office.
What is most frustrating about this is that it often means that you have to teach people to do really basic things that you don’t think twice about during the course of your day. I remember one new person that I was training who couldn’t figure out how to use the electric paper cutter. I had to show her twice how the papercutter worked. And then she still managed to get confused and to try using our business card cutter for document cutting. It was a mess.
Of course, most trainees aren’t too bad. But it’s still frustrating to have to train someone else because it doesn’t usually mean that your duties get lessened at all. You still have to complete your same amount of work for the same amount of pay but you have to do so while spending time training the new person. If you find that you’re often asked to play this role, you might want to seriously think about asking for a raise!

There are a few basic things that I always look for when I’m trying to figure out if someone that I’ve just met is going to eventually become a good friend. One of the key things is that the person must be low-maintenance and low on drama. I am not the kind of girl who has friends that get angry when you don’t call them often enough.
I knew that my friend Jeannie would become a great friend almost as soon as I met her. She was in the early planning stages of her wedding when we met and she was running into a whole bunch of problems. In fact, we met because she hired me to write a saying for her wedding invitations. When the invitations arrived, the saying was correct but the invitations themselves were beach wedding invitations instead of frangipani wedding invitations.
I would have expected Jeannie to go nuts about the mistake. We all know how brides can be when things don’t go perfectly. But that’s just not Jeannie’s nature. She took one look at the wedding invitations and laughed. "Guess I’ll have to move the reception to a beach," she said.
And believe it or not, when she sent me a belated invitation to join them last minute for the wedding, it had been rescheduled to a terrific beach location. That’s just the kind of girl that Jeannie is. And that’s the kind of woman that I am interested in being friends with!

We get insurance for all different types of things but the reason that we get it is always the same - we want to be protected "just in case" something happens. Unfortunately if you fail to read the fine print on your insurance then you may find out that you aren’t protected after all.
Let me tell you a sad story about two dentist friends of mine who got disability insurance. They were involved in a horrible car accident that left them both unable to do their jobs for a period of time. They each found out that they weren’t going to be covered under their disability insurance for different reasons.
The first dentist had thought that he was getting dentist disability insurance but then found out that he had gotten disability insurance for physician. It didn’t cover him as a dentist even though he had assumed it covered all doctors.
The second dentist had gotten the right coverage but he had failed to get own occupation disability insurance. Technically, he could still do a job, he just couldn’t do his job. Because he could theoretically work at a minimum wage job, he wasn’t covered by his insurance.
These are things that they would have realized if they had read the fine print. They just didn’t think that they would ever need to really get into the nitty gritty of their insurance so they didn’t bother. They - and their patients - suffered as a result.

People who use computers today are often using them to put something on to a blank CD or DVD. They obviously need some way of labeling the CD or DVD in order to always know what is on the disk without having to insert it back into the computer to find out.
Here are three common methods used for DVD labeling:
- Write on the disk. This is the method that most people are still using today. Just get a marker and write the information on the disk. It’s not too professional but it does the trick.
- Print out CD labels. You can use a disc printer to create labels that you peel off and stick on to the CD or DVD.
- Print directly on to the disk. DVD labelers can also be used to print right on to the disk so that you can avoid the mess and hassle of peeling off labels and trying to stick them on properly.
There are actually other methods of labeling DVDs in addition to these choices. There are software programs that let you use the computer to put the label on the disk without using a separate machine. However, the three methods above are the most common methods that people are using today to label their CDs and DVDs.

One of biggest questions for trucks owners in this day and age is an important one. People are wondering if they need to look into getting one of the many popular pickup truck tool boxes out on the market today. It’s an important question for a number of reasons, mostly because of the monetary investment involved in getting one of those boxes. Though they aren’t overly expensive, toolboxes can run pretty high if you go for a top of the line product.
The question of tool boxes is one that is really a personal preference situation. For some people, tool boxes are absolutely necessary. Perhaps you are hauling a lot of expensive equipment that cannot get damaged. Maybe you just like the convenience of being able to put your stuff into the locked box when you leave the truck. These are all very good reasons why a person might go for a truck toolbox. Some other people choose trailer tongue boxes because they are less expensive. It’s possible that you could get by with this type of toolbox if your needs are a little bit less.
You might not even need a tool box to go in your truck at all. In this case, just choose tool totes in order to take care of your storage needs. As this article explains, you can make your toolbox last for a while if you take measures to protect it.
