Choosing a tanning lotion that works for you can be a difficult task, however, the task can be even more difficult when you have sensitive skin. Anyone with sensitive skin knows that buying any cosmetic product can be very tricky because of breakouts and rashes. The same can also be said when looking for tanning products. Even some of the best tanning lotions can cause breakouts and rashes for people with sensitive skin.
One way to make sure a lotion is compatible with your sensitive skin is to read the ingredients on the bottle. If you are allergic to any of the ingredients you know to steer clear of that product. Also, if you the lotion contains some of the same ingredients as other cosmetic products you have used in the past but were not compatible with your skin, you know to steer clear of them as well.
The only way you’re really going to know if dark tanning lotions or other lotions are compatible with your skin is by trial and error. Make sure to only apply the lotion to a small area and if your skin breaks out or you see a rash stop using the product immediately.
