Phases of Florida Drug Treatment

The first thing that people will learn about when they go to sign up for help at a Florida drug rehab center is what to expect from the program. One of the things that people will learn is that there is a series of phases to go through in any Florida drug treatment center. These phases begin with strictly monitoredĀ in-patient treatment and eventually end with minimally-required outpatient services.
In the early stages of drug treatment, individuals need to be closely monitored. This is because they are going to have a difficult time breaking away from their addictions if they are left to their own devices. You may have a strong urge to get out of the program at this time because the monitoring feels claustrophobic. However, you have to remember that you weren’t able to beat your addiction on your own and this type of help is precisely why you’re in the program to begin with.
As time goes on, you will need less help. The amount of monitoring that you require will decrease. The amount of responsibility that you will take for your own life will increase correspondingly. This transition takes place in a way that allows you to resume responsibilities without getting overwhelmed and turning back to drugs. Eventually this transition will lead to you living on your own asĀ a sober individual and simply checking in to the program for meetings on an outpatient basis.
