I really want to look into Disability Insurance for Physician friends of mine now because I recently heard about all the benefits of Long Term Disability Insurance and I wonder if they all have heard the same things so they can realize how important it is for them to get it for themselves. I knew a little about my own family member’s situation but when I was back home this weekend for a dinner with my mom and dad and the rest of the family I heard more about what exactly had happened and I want to pass the story on to my friends.

My uncle Benny was a physician ever since I could remember. I think he even helped with the birth of my older sister because he was over for dinner one night with my family when my mother unexpectedly went into labor. I guess the birth of my sister happened so incredibly fast that the family did not even have time to react and get to the hospital. It was a good thing Benny was there to help out. He was such a great doctor. But he got into an accident a few years later and did not have insurance for his disability and he ended up losing everything.
