How Little I Know about the Stock Market

I am often reminded about how little I know about the stock market. For one thing, my husband works in the retirement plan industry, and while I do know there is a big difference between having a 401(k) and, say, a Forex trading system, I don’t know much other than that.
One thing I do know is that someone like me, who doesn’t know much about day trading futures, shouldn’t be doing the amateur thing with the stock market! My mom is always losing money because she has invested primarily in long-term funds, but is constantly pulling out after she has lost a lot of money. She’s like me and doesn’t know much about it, so she ought not to be making decisions like that!
Trading in the stock market is kind of like an educated sort of gambling — you need the education or else you have really crappy odds. Something like a futures trading course can help you learn what you are doing so that you don’t lose all your money!
