Kinda Like War

I’m not usually much for violence and competition, but I do like guns.  I go to the shooting range a couple times a week just to squeeze off a few rounds and release some tension.  It’s actually quite therapeutic.

My friend somehow convinced me I should take it a step farther and do something where I can actually do some combat type play.  He insisted it’s even more therapeutic, and considering how much of my day at work I spend wishing ill will on people, I decided he might be right.

He suggested we go to an airsoft club, where they organize capture the flag type games with low-midlevel speed settings on the airsoft guns.  I played with bb guns when I was younger, and I remember getting shot hurt, but I figured it would probably be more fun as an adult. Simulated war combat can be good to get out all my aggression, right?

We got there and I was expecting they’d hand us some standard handguns and maybe some rifles, but I was shocked to find that they had a serious selection.  And we got to pick a rifle and a handgun, if we so desired, which I did.

I picked out a sleek Tokyo Marui handgun to start and then moved on to the rifles, the largest selection belonged to the Echo1’s, but I was drawn to the small selection of KWA guns because they had a beastly rifle with a scope.  Unfortunately that was not on the menu, so I settled for a nice conflict model, the AK47.
