Disney Does Up Its Parades and Parks in a Magical Way

Does Disney still do the Main Street Electrical Parade?  It’s been years since I’ve been to either Disneyland or Disney World, but that was one thing I really liked.  But I believe things have gotten a little more high-tech, and the old-fashioned parade is no more.

It was such a magical time to see that parade with all of its battery operated lights-hundreds of thousands of them!  They literally covered the floats and all the costumes, too.  What was extra special was if they ran the parade during the holidays when Christmas Trees are up throughout the park.  When they lit all the outdoor outdoor Christmas decorations AND ran the Electrical Parade, it was just spell-binding for adults and children alike.  But I think they mainly only ran it in the summer, but that was okay, too:  the park’s summer trees were also lit with battery Christmas lights (all white).  So it looked neat no matter what the time of year.  If you get a chance to see it, don’t miss it!

The new shows are neat, too.  I think they’re sort of a Fantasia thing that’s projected over the water with fire and laser effects, too.  And they have usual daytime parades still.  I just wish I could see the old Electrical Parade one last time.
