Golf Instruction Includes Stretching Exercises

Anyone teaching golf or those with careers in golf will tell you that stretching your muscles before you play is extremely important if you truly want to become a good golfer. After all, if your muscles are tight, they are not flexible. And, if they are not flexible, then your range of motion will drastically be reduced, and that will cause short swings. So, flexibility in your hips, torso and shoulders is crucial in order to play your best.

One stretch, you can easily do ever day is called the “Lying Leg Crossover.” First, lie on your back with your legs extended. Raise your right leg and bend the knee to 90 degrees. Cross your leg over the extended leg. Make sure your opposite shoulder remains on the ground. Stretch until you feel slight pull in the lower back. Simply hold this stretch for 15 second and repeat. Then, switch sides.

Follow this golf instruction stretch to not only draw out your back, (making you feel better) but to also increase your range of motion with less hip movement; therefore, improving your game.
