My husband and I take walks with our dogs all the time.  Of course, since we don’t live very close to a park that has a good walking path, that requires loading the dogs up and taking them to the park with us.

Whenever you are transporting your dogs, you need to be careful to do it safely.  One of my biggest pet peeves is when I see people driving around in their trucks with their dogs loose in the back.  When I was a kid I saw a dog fall out of a truck bed and nearly get run over by the truck’s own wheels, and I’ll never forget that.  It’s important to protect dogs against falling or unwittingly jumping out of the vehicle any time you transport them anywhere.

The best way to protect your dogs is to invest in dog boxes, crates that go into the bed of your truck so that your dogs can’t jump out, fall out, or end up getting stolen while your truck is parked.  The concept is similar to truck tool boxes and other truck boxes, which bolt into the bed of your truck to give you more locking storage space in your pickup.

A dog is supposedly man’s best friend, and as such deserve the same care and protection we’d give to any other friend.  Use dog boxes to safely transport your pets in your pickup!
